Formerly known as Alice’s Night Circus, Alice Strange is classically trained and began her musical journey in classical performance before evolving into her own distinctive alternative pop sound. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical genres and literature, she now focuses on writing and performing original material.

Alongside her music, Alice developed a professional career as a fashion and jewellery designer, a visual flair that continues to shape her aesthetic and live performances. Her transition into songwriting was catalysed by working with Eliot Kennedy (Ivor Novello Award–winning songwriter and producer), where she entered Steelworks Studios to develop her own voice as a writer and artist.

Her debut album Metamorphose introduced a world of apocalyptic fairy-tale steampop, circus influences and dark pop textures. As her sound and themes expanded, Alice embraced a broader creative identity, leading to the name Alice Strange, a project designed to allow greater thematic freedom and artistic growth.

‘From day one I realised we were working with a real artist in [Alice]. Not only a designer of fashion and jewellery but also a real visionary regarding her music. It was a fab project to be a part of and I am really proud of what we have done together. I wish every success possible!!!' - Eliot Kennedy - Ivor Novello Award Winning Songwriter/Producer

Living with M.E./Fibromyalgia since the age of 17 has deeply influenced Alice’s songwriting, shaping music that focuses on resilience, transformation and the possibilities found in overcoming life’s difficulties.

Alice Strange has built a strong and loyal following within the steampunk and alternative communities, while continuing to grow her audience beyond niche scenes. She has been featured on BBC Introducing and has performed at Zandari Festa (Seoul, South Korea), Liverpool Sound City, Lincoln Engine Shed, Whitby Pavilion, Lincoln Asylum Steampunk Festival and Fantasy Forest Festival.
